What do you call the memory disease which erases all the memories of a person and even can lead to death?

Answer:
Amnesia is partial or total inability to recall past experiences. It may result from traumatic brain injury, degeneration, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, or psychologic disturbances. Diagnosis is clinical, often including neuropsychologic testing and brain imaging (CT, MRI). Treatment is directed at the cause.Dementia is a loss of brain function. It is not a single disease. Instead, dementia refers to a group of illnesses that involve memory, behavior, learning, and communicating problems. The problems are progressive, which means they slowly get worse.
