What do you do if you think you have been bitten by a bed bug?

Answer:
well, you haven't got just one. that's for sure.
look up their life cycle and needs.
wash the sheets, even though that won't get 'em.
sleep somewhere else for twice as long as necessary.
maybe put HOT WASHED sheets on your sofa, and sleep there.you need to determine:
- how long it takes eggs to hatch,
- how long before the hatchlings need to eat,
- how long the adults can go between feedings.that will tell how how long you need to stay away.keep in mind that besides in the bed, they'll be wandering around looking for you, 'cause they miss you.
vacuum often.
don't keep clothes, either clean or dirty, near your bed (or the sofa).or, of course, you can spray poison all around.good luck.
Wash your bedding in the hottest water you can, and shower!!
go to a doctor
Bedbugs don't usually carry diseases. A bedbug bite is actually a small incision they make to let blood flow and they justlick it up. Now the bad news. If you have 1 bedbug (and you're sure it's a bedbug?) then you have more. Strip all your beds, look along the seams of the mattress, especially at the head end ofthe bed. Bedbugs are kinda reddish in color, but they also leave a lot of black spots on your mattress, kinda looks like mold, well it's not,it's bedbug droppings. Check all the nooks and crannies around your bed. If you find them, you have to call an exterminator. Book a hotel room for a couple days. Good luck.
